I am considered an "Out of Network" provider with most insurance companies. I am currently accepting Aetna, United Healthcare and BCBS of Massachusetts only. If I do not accept your insurance plan, you may have out-of-network benefits that allow you to be reimbursed for payments made out of pocket. Remember, most insurance plans have deductibles that need to be met before coverage kicks in even if you are seeing someone "in-network" with your insurance plan. Be sure to call your insurance carrier to find out if you have a deductible to meet before you can receive reimbursement for mental health services!
At your request, a super-bill can be provided for submission to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please be aware that insurance companies do require a clinical diagnosis and other treatment disclosures in order for you to receive reimbursement. The clinical diagnosis given will permanently remain in your medical health records.
Therapy is a time that you set aside to work on problem areas in your life. It is a space where you can feel seen and heard as you develop a therapeutic relationship of trust and safety with your Therapist. The Therapist will facilitate the healing process by providing tools, skills and activities that help get to the root of the symptoms that are causing distress. You will work alongside your therapist to create attainable goals and be in control of your process.
The length of time that you spend in therapy is totally up to you! At Serenity, we believe therapy is lifelong in which frequency of sessions will surely decrease as your wellness increases. We recommend weekly or bi-weekly sessions which will allow for much needed processing and completion of personal growth activities provided to you. It some instances, those who need extra support meet twice weekly. In a nutshell, frequency is decided upon between you and your Therapist.....together!
Therapy is for as long as you want it to be. Remember, therapy is not just for times of crisis and should be viewed as a maintenance tool to remain in good mental health!
We collect payment in the following 2 ways:
Please note: During the onboarding process, Serenity will require a credit card to remain on file in accordance with policy. Payments for all services must be paid before or at the start of all session appointments.
Sometimes, our reactions and responses to life circumstances require medication,n even if for a short time. If you believe that this is something you may need, a referral will be made to a Psychiatrist or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for a full evaluation and possible prescribing of medication. We have many resources to guide you in the right direction in this area. I partner with nurse practitioners that can prescribe medication and provide medication management. These providers are people that I trust and know personally and you will be supported through the entire process.
