Individual therapy is a great place to feel seen and head in a safe and nonjudgmental space. It is a time to focus on YOU and things that concern you.
Many feel like they are in a cycle of sorts that they just can't seem to get out of and do not know why. This space can even be used to gain clarity on next steps or to flush out thoughts around a big decision to make.
Each person has unqiue needs and areas of concern and the experience is personalized just for you.
Grief happens in many ways including death, divorce, ending of relationships, missed opportunities, and circumstances that did not turn out as we hoped. Grief can create intense feelings of sadness, emptiness, and loneliness. If we do not properly identify that we are grieving, we may notice efforts to feel better are not working. Grief left untreated can turn into prolonged grief as well as anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. There is a way to grieve all the ways we lost healthily!
Life is a journey full of transitions. Some of these transitions include starting a new job, moving to a new place, welcoming a new baby, getting married, or letting go of the last child who leaves home. Although we may see these transitions as positive experiences, they can also trigger a range of strong emotions such as grief, sadness, worry, and fear. Major changes can be overwhelming and challenging to navigate alone. Having supportive people around us can make all the difference. It's essential to have someone to lean on and share our thoughts and feelings with to help us cope with the changes in our lives.
Anxiety and panic attacks are common mental health challenges characterized by intense feelings of fear, worry, and physical discomfort. While anxiety involves persistent feelings of apprehension about future events or situations, panic attacks are sudden episodes of overwhelming fear accompanied by physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, and dizziness. These experiences can be debilitating, but with support and proper coping strategies, individuals can learn to manage and overcome them, leading to improved mental well-being
If you feel lost, confused, or uncertain about who you are and where you are going this is an identity crisis. You may also find it difficult to make decisions, trust yourself, and feel disconnected from your values and interests. It can also include the feeling of never fitting in. Identity is a very important part of personal growth and healing. It is hard to grow and become a better version of ourselves if we do not know who we are. Having a solid identity means living an authentic and fulfilling life.
Trauma is any event that causes extreme hurt, pain, and disappointment in our lives. Trauma can impact and alter how we see ourselves, how we others, and the world. When we ignore, avoid, or suppress the impacts of trauma we ultimately experience greater levels of emotional distress, relationship challenges, and overall dissatisfaction with life. It is so important to deal with the impacts of trauma so we can create the life we truly desire.
Motherless daughters are defined as daughters who have been wounded by losing a mother to death, custody battles such as divorce, or neglect or abandonment. Motherless daughters experience mother wounds that can run DEEP. There are unique challenges that motherless daughters face including the lack of a positive role model, the inability to express emotions, forming healthy relationships, and just navigating womanhood.
As a motherless daughter, I understand the unique challenges that are not even included in this brief blurb. Mother wounds cause grief and impact our identity. My biggest goal is to help you identify the specific impact of mother wounds and work toward transforming those impacts to become the healthiest version of yourself you can become!
